With just a week to go until Mother’s Day, now is the perfect time to get thinking about the perfect present to gift your Mum. People usually go for things like flowers, chocolate or perfume - things they can pick up easily from the shop, but this year, what about gifting Mum something even more special - something homemade? We’ve rounded up four easy Mother’s Day dessert ideas, all using Dale Farm’s fresh, creamy ingredients.
These fun and simple recipes are ideal for baking with kids - no fuss, little mess (because let’s face it - there’s always a bit of a mess when kids are around!). Get Mum involved or let her kick her feet up and relax while you get baking.

Let’s face it, any Mini Eggs and Dale Farm combo is bound to be delicious, but this three-ingredient dessert is a real crowd pleaser; it’s sweet, it’s creamy and most importantly, it’s so easy to make. You can even finish with a scoop of Dale Farm Vanilla Ice Cream for some extra indulgence - Mother’s Day is the perfect excuse!
You’ll need:
4 ready-made croissants
200g Mini Eggs
To make:
Lightly grease an oven-safe dish with butter.
Break apart your croissants and add to the dish.
Add some crushed Mini Eggs.
Pour 500g of Dale Farm Fresh Custard over top, mix with a spatula to ensure it’s evenly spread and top with more Mini Eggs.
Allow the croissants to soak in the custard for 20 minutes before moving into a preheated oven at 180 degrees.
Cook for 40 minutes or until golden brown at the top.
Serve and enjoy!

If you thought three ingredients was easy, you should try this two-ingredient (yes, two!) Milky Bar Mousse using Milky Bar white chocolate and Dale Farm Fresh Whipping Cream. It’s the perfect quick and light sweet treat - and very kid friendly!
You’ll need:
150g Milky Bar white chocolate
270ml Dale Farm Fresh Whipping Cream
To make:
Break up 150g Milky Bar chocolate and melt in the microwave in short bursts.
To a bowl, add 270ml Dale Farm Fresh Whipping Cream and whisk until light and fluffy.
Add your melted white chocolate, mix and whisk again if needed.
Serve in a small dish or coupe glass and enjoy!

Have you ever wanted a cake without the hassle of baking a whole cake? Well, we’ve got the answer: a mug cake! But not just any plain old mug cake - a Mini Eggs mug cake; sweet, chocolatey goodness. This is something that not only the kids will love baking, but Mum will enjoy eating!
You’ll need:
3 tbsp self-raising flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp caster sugar
1 tsp coconut oil
A handful of crushed Mini Eggs
To make:
Add all of the ingredients (apart from the Mini Eggs) into a medium-sized microwaveable mug. Mix with a fork to combine.
Stir in the crushed Mini Eggs so they are covered with the mixture.
Microwave for 90 seconds on high power. You’ll know the mug cake is ready when it has risen and has started to pull away from the sides of the mug.
Top with a few crushed Mini Eggs and enjoy!

If you’re not so confident with baking but still want to give Mum something meaningful with that homemade feel, you can take her a walk down memory lane with the likes of some classic school cake or jam and coconut sponge (or both!). Top with Dale Farm Custard to finish the dish off perfectly and we can guarantee, your Mum will be delighted.
So, there you have it - four easy, delicious desserts to bake with the kids for Mum this Mother’s Day. From a light and airy Milky Bar mousse to a quick and easy Mini Eggs mug cake, you’re bound to find something both the kids and Mum will love.
